We are so excited that our Pray the Rosary DVD and CD are now being sold in several different stores as well as on Amazon! We continue to try and make contact with new stores and share our DVD with them. Even more exciting is the DVD and CD fundraiser we will be doing for a Catholic school in Virginia. They have over 500 students and each student will be selling them as a school wide fundraiser. We are very excited by this opportunity and hope to do many more fundraisers like this one. If you haven’t heard about our DVD please check it out, it is a great way for families to pray the Rosary! www.PraytheRosaryDVD.com Pray the Rosary DVD

Now that we have gotten some exciting news out of the way, on to the topic that nearly drove me to confession. For about the last 2 weeks I have harbored some ill feelings towards every newscaster, weatherman, or other wise guy who so proudly informed us to set back our clocks as daylight savings time was ending, followed by, “you get an extra hour of sleep tonight!” These people clearly do not have kids, or at least they do not have 5 kids seven years old and under. There has been nothing “extra” about the sleep around here, especially not that night. I can still hardly look at the weatherman.

We have been loving our traditional Fall activities, including our end of season visit to Just Piddlin’ Farms. We love the corn pit (huge sandbox like pit filled with dry corn) and the hay bail tunnel/maze, even though they almost killed me by teaming up and chasing me through the maze as I tried my hardest to scurry through on my hands and knees and not to get caught. I have never been so exhausted.

Oh the things children say…. the other day my son told me I could attach a rope I was using to the house’s “utter”. After looking at him with a very baffled look he said, “you know the place water comes out of.” Which for a second did not clear things up, because I know what comes our of an “utter”, and it isn’t water. Oh…..you mean “gutter!”

Speaking of funny things kids say….

My daughter Bella was talking about something going to the “landville”.

Me: “The where?”

Bella:”The Landville, you know, the big truck comes and picks up our trash and takes it to LANDVILLE.

Max: “Bella, do you mean Land VILLIAGE!?”

Bella: “Yeah that!”

It is amazing how fast you can go through something when it is being shared by kids. We go through kids toothpaste way to fast around here. During a round of illness in our house we decided to get our big kids each their own tube of toothpaste to try and curb the possible sharing of germs as they, you know, lick that little dangling piece of toothpaste off the tube and other creative things kids do. This has had the added bonus of discovering how much tooth paste each child was using. Can you guess who got the talk about the proper amount of toothpaste?

Lastly, at times my wife and I reflect our children’s initials (see toothpaste lids above) and think that they are a fitting description of our children. It doesn’t get better for us when you add in the two youngest either. Together (and using Isabella instead of “Bella”) our kids initials spell, “I MOBD” and at times we do feel mobbed, but we love it 🙂 !

  1. Dear Mobd

You are blessed with a beautiful family. We also were blessed with 5 kids seven years old
and under plus three more after that. During the mobbed times always, always remember
that there will come a day when you will long to have back a moment of that time. May
God watch over and protect you and your children all the days of your lives.
